AI Content
At Jupiter Cloud Books, we celebrate creativity, and have a zero tolerance for AI generated content. Our founder is not only an author, but also a graphic designer; therefore human made art and writing is very important to us. We do not allow any authors or vendors who use AI to write their books or create book covers, products, or any associated items. The Jupiter Cloud Book Festival was created to celebrate and support the creativity of authors, and we believe that displaying AI generated content would be disrespectful to the talented and hardworking writers and artists that we showcase. All authors and vendors must confirm that they do not use AI in their work, and anybody found to be displaying AI items at our events will be subsequently banned from future events.
Payment
Payment must be made promptly once you are approved for a table at our events. If payments are not made by given deadlines, then your place will be offered to someone else on the waiting list. If you are unable to pay by the deadline, please let us know and we can come to an arrangement.
Unfortunately, refunds are not available, unless the event is for any reason cancelled. This is because our venues, insurance, advertising, and other costs must be paid upfront; and it is not always possible to source another author or vendor to replace you if you drop out.
Table prices may vary depending on venue costs. However, all profit made from the Jupiter Cloud Book Festival goes towards hosting more events and publishing our books; plus a percentage goes to charity. Each event takes months of work to organise, and costs lots of money for various expenses; however, as an organisation run by a working author who regularly attends events like these, we always endeavour to make the events as affordable as possible for authors and vendors.
Selling Success
All Jupiter Cloud Books events are advertised in various ways, including distributing flyers, social media, press releases and articles, and radio appearances. All efforts are made to ensure that the word is spread as much as possible. However, the organisers have no responsibility for how many books/products authors and vendors sell on the day of the event. Selling at events is always unpredictable, and regardless of how many visitors come to the event, different authors/vendors will inevitably sell more or less than others. Indeed it is possible for an author to sell no books at a busy event, or sell many books at smaller event, depending on whether their specific target audience is there.
Jupiter Cloud Books will provide you with a space to showcase your books/products to as many people as possible; not only with your stall on the day, but also by allowing you to add promotional items to goody bags, sharing your attendance on social media, and often providing extra opportunities such as panel appearances or interviews. However, we are not responsible for any individual author/vendor's success on the day.
We do not tolerate any disrespect towards any of our staff members or volunteers for any reason. Confrontational behaviour of any kind will result in a ban from future events.
Set Up And Pack Down
Authors and vendors will be advised of arrival times, and are not permitted to enter the event space before the stated time unless an arrangement has been made with the organiser. This is to ensure that our staff have time to set up the room for you and prepare everything.
Table holders are not permitted to pack down their tables before the advertised end time unless instructed to do so by a staff member. All visitors have paid for the same, and empty tables make the event look unprofessional. Additionally, you may miss out on last minute sales, as other authors and vendors tend to browse at the end when events are quieter.
Authors/vendors breaking these rules may not be permitted to attend subsequent events.
